  • About the BRBC

    The Bow River Basin Council (BRBC) was established in 1992, as an advisory body to the provincial Minister of Environmental Protection.  In 2004, the Government of Alberta formally recognized the BRBC as the Watershed Planning and Advisory Council for the Bow River Basin in Alberta's Water for Life Strategy.  Currently, there are only ten Watershed Planning and Advisory Councils (WPACs), that are formally recognized as WPACs.
