HOW YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE. . .
Skipping rocks, floating home-made boats and swimming in a local
river. . . these are all things that you and I have done. Rejuvenated
by rivers refreshed by a rain shower on a hot summer day, feeling
excitement at viewing a rainbow. . . these experiences ignore boundaries
and blend cultural differences. The need for clean and plentiful
water brings us together as a community, provides food for our tables,
energy for our homes, and opportunities for our recreation.
It's time we recognized the importance of water issues. Are you
concerned about the aquatic ecosystem, in general, along with the
quality and quantity of water within the Bow River watershed? If
so, the Bow River Basin Council (BRBC) shares your concerns and
needs your support. We at the BRBC believe that finding ways to
protect and improve the river system for both present and future
generations begins in homes, schools, and businesses. You can be
an important part of the solution. Please consider making a cash
donation to the BRBC so we can continue our good work.
Stewardship in the Basin
BRBC members seek out projects that will make a lasting contribution
to improved water management. There is a wealth of good ideas to
choose from. They come from community groups, youth groups, educational
institutions, and other groups of interested people like you. Projects
range from restoration activities to research to raising public
awareness. Support for projects is determined using a screening
process with rigorous criteria. We look for opportunities to leverage
your investment through extensive volunteer commitment and support.
